Photographic base papers for analogue photography have made Felix Schoeller a well known name all over the world. It was not until the end of the 1980s that the appearance of the first digital cameras heralded alternatives to traditional ways of printing photos. This prompted the Felix Schoeller Group to embark on a change of strategy: the core element of this was the decision to go into decor paper manufacture and add inkjet and thermal transfer paper to the range of production. Today the Imaging and Dekor Business Units contribute roughly half each to the Group's sales volume. Felix Schoeller also uses its expertise to produce technical specialty papers and films and to develop individual customised solutions.
