Any company that can master a complex technology such as producing innovative specialty papers as competently as we do will repeatedly encounter new fields of application. An example of this dates back to the end of the 1970s when we began to recycle waste base paper and polyethylene (PE) from our own paper production processes. Our subsidiary meltorec then sells these recovered materials to various industries. In the 1990s, we pioneered the development and implementation of RFID-based systems for monitoring and organising materials flows. Today, Felix Schoeller Supply Chain Technologies rolls out these systems across a range of industries. Another example is p_e:smart: since 2009, we have been supplying these specially designed papers for applications in the futuristic field of printed electronics. Because our curiosity never wanes, our range of customised solutions will continue to grow. Watch this space!
