No company acts in isolation from its social environment. On the contrary, they are linked into it through a web of interconnections. Corporate social responsibility is therefore an integral part of our company’s identity.
Our internationally-focused activities include supporting the German Olympic team and running the Felix Schoeller Photo Award. We have been the official premium paper partner of the German Olympic team since July 2013. Since this partnership began we have been able to roll out numerous activities (click here for more information). The high-quality communication and emotional appeal we were able to bring to the XXII Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014 with our specialty papers was the highlight of our partnership to date.
The Felix Schoeller Photo Award draws on our origins as a manufacturer of high-quality photographic paper. Our aim is to award prizes in support of professional photographers who share our passion for uncompromisingly good photos. At the same time, the award also acknowledges Osnabrück, the city in which our company was founded and where the Felix Schoeller Group still has not only a mill but also its head offices. That is why the awards ceremony and exhibition of the prizewinning and nominated works take place in Osnabruck’s Cultural History Museum.
But we also sponsor a number of activities in the vicinity of our mills. They include supporting Osnabruck’s TSG sports club, the Felix Schoeller sports hall in Weissenborn, and the chamber music festival organised by the Schlossverein in Osnabrück. Since 2013, we have also been supporting Sebastian Dietz, discus gold medallist at the 2012 Paralympics, who comes from the nearby town of Bünde. As a family business with worldwide operations we value this as a way of enabling a successful local athlete to take part in international competitions and achieve outstanding performances.
