Double success for Sebastian Dietz in Rio: he won the gold medal and the heart of his future wife
The paralympic top athlete Sebastian Dietz won the gold medal in the discipline shot-put at the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and after that he proposed his girlfriend in the German House.
From 7 – 18 September 2016, the Paralympic Games took place in Rio after the Olympics. 155 German athletes fought for the medals in 17 of a total of 22 offered disciplines.
Sebastian Dietz was one of the athletes. He followed his discipline colleagues Niko Kappel, Daniel Scheil and Franziska Liebhardt, and won the fourth gold medal in shot-put with a distance of 14,84 m.
In all the five throwing attempts he was better than the second-placed Ukrainian Mikola Dibrowa. At the ceremony in the German House he realized a second heart wish: he proposed to his girlfriend, they have already been together for almost five years. Her "yes word" rounded off the perfect day of the athlete. After he popped the champagne corks, he said, "It is without the agreement of the parents, but I just have to do it because she is the woman I love."
"The wedding will be in 2018," says Sebastian after his return to Germany. "Rio was a great success. It was a very hard time, however it makes me very happy. I have to look at it as a gift that I could be there. "
The Felix Schoeller Group congratulates Sebastian for this great success at the Paralympic games and for his private life!

Best performance at drupa
22 July 2016
The two Olympians Alexandra Wester (long jump) and Julian Reus (sprint) visited us at our stand at drupa in June 2016 in Dusseldorf. They convinced themselves of the quality of our premium - papers and were very pleased with the portraits with their most beautiful motifs that were handed to them during their visit. Signed autograph cards printed on our paper, photos and interesting conversations with the athletes made the day for our stand visitors something very special. Both athletes are very young, but already very successful in their disciplines.
Earlier this year Alexandra Wester became already German hall Champion (Leipzig) and German vice Champion (Kassel) in the long jump discipline. She achieved her best performance in the hall in Berlin on 13 February 2016 with a mark of 6.95 m. For outdoor long jump her record was 6.79 m in Oberteuringen on 05 June 2016.
Currently Julian Reus is the fastest man in Germany. The 60 m, 100 m and 200 m run belong to his disciplines. In two of them he cracked the German record in 2016: He completed the 60m sprint in the hall (Leipzig) in a best time of 6.52 s and crossed the finish line in the 100 m sprint (Zeulenroda) within 10.03 s.
The two athletes have qualified with their best performances in 2016 for the Olympic Games in Rio and are eagerly awaiting an exciting time.
