OUR ROAD TO TOKYO
Olympic Games to be postponed
Actually, the XXXII Olympic Games should be held in Tokyo from 24 July to 9 August 2020. All preparations - by the athletes, the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) and the Felix Schoeller Group - were in full swing.
Beginning of April the highly dynamic spread of the coronavirus pandemic led to official decision to postpone the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo to 2021. Exactly one year later - on July 23, 2021 - the Games are now to be opened.
Health is also a top priority for the Felix Schoeller Group, so there is no question that we will continue to accompany and support all the athletes, organisers and associations in these times wherever we can.
Please stay healthy!
As of July 2013, the Felix Schoeller Group is official co partner of the German Olympic team (Team D).
The Osnabrück-based specialty paper manufacturer already successfully supported Team D as official premium paper partner on their way to Sochi 2014, Rio 2016 and Pyeongchang 2018. We are pleased to power the Olympic Games in Tokyo with our top papers and are proud to support Team D as co-partner together with other successful German companies such as Adidas, Toyota, DB Schenker and Lufthansa. With our high-quality papers for photos, posters, photo books, brochures, invitations and surface design we also want to give the German Olympic Sports Federation (DOSB) the opportunity to communicate the world’s greatest sporting event. Above all, we want to give the athletes the opportunity to use our quality papers to capture their unforgettable moments for eternity before, during and after the Olympics in their own individual and emotional way by using the full range of formats and applications available - said Hans-Christoph Gallenkamp, CEO/CSO of the Felix Schoeller Group.
