Hans-Christoph Gallenkamp has been working for the company since 1997. Born in 1969, he studied paper engineering at Darmstadt Technical University after graduating from high school and also completed a part-time international management course at the University of Toronto, Canada, from which he graduated with a Master of Business and Administration (MBA).
The main focus of his career at Felix Schoeller was his work on the PM1 paper machine at the Osnabrück mill and later as head of the raw material management department in the extrusion process at the Osnabrück mill. Between 1999 and 2001, Hans-Christoph Gallenkamp managed the production of specialty base papers at Felix Schoeller's American plant in Pulaski/NY. From 2002, he was Managing Director of the Technocell Business Unit. In this role, he was responsible for marketing, sales and technology. Since October 2012, Mr. Gallenkamp has been a member of the Executive Board of Felix Schoeller Holding as Chief Technical Officer (CTO). On January 1, 2015, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of Felix Schoeller, Osnabrück. On January 01, 2017, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO). Effective July 1, 2018, he was appointed Spokesman of the Management Board (CEO).
In November 2023, Hans-Christoph Gallenkamp was elected President of the association DIE PAPIERINDUSTRIE. Particularly in these socially and politically challenging times, it is no longer enough to simply observe political developments as an onlooker; it also requires a personal commitment from the companies to work towards suitable framework conditions for the energy-intensive paper industry, especially in Germany, but also in the European context. This is why Gallenkamp is continuing the tradition within the family business: his great-grandfather Gerhard Schoeller had previously been involved in the association and his father Hans-Michael Gallenkamp at the head of the association.
Hans-Christoph Gallenkamp is a 5th generation shareholder of Felix Schoeller. He is married and has three children.
