  • SCHOELLER TECHNOCELL GMBH & CO KG is awarded with gold by EcoVadis for the third time
  • Evaluation covers elements such as environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement

The Felix Schoeller Group has defined specific measures to optimise its business activities in the three pillars of sustainability - environment, social and economy. An essential element in the implementation of the sustainability strategy is the external examination and auditing. The Felix Schoeller Group has chosen EcoVadis, one of the most renowned and recognised auditing companies, as its auditor. The goal of the auditing and review process is to identify further potentials for optimisation and to improve the performance year by year. In the current auditing period from May 2021 to May 2022, SCHOELLER TECHNOCELL GMBH & CO KG has improved the sustainability performance and achieved gold in the EcoVadis Sustainability Ranking.

The gold status with 68/100 points is made up of 80/100 points in environment and 70/100 points in labour and human rights. The award impressively underlines the Felix Schoeller Group's sustainability strategy. For the family-run company from Osnabrück (Germany), this strategy goes far beyond the environmental aspect. Sustainability is only achieved when economic, ecological, and social objectives are well balanced. To achieve this, a holistic strategy has been developed in the areas of production processes, products, and their recyclability as well as in social aspects.

Hans-Christoph Gallenkamp, CEO of the Felix Schoeller Group, is aware of the importance of an official ranking: "As a family business with a tradition of more than 125 years, responsibility is not a marketing term for us, but part of our corporate DNA. We are aware that sustainable consumption and sustainable businesses are one of the central issues of the 21st century. The EcoVadis award shows that we are on the right track with our sustainability strategy".
